Mosquito Control in Broken Arrow, Tulsa, Jenks and Bixby, Oklahoma

Mosquito Control in Broken Arrow, Tulsa, Jenks, and Bixby, Oklahoma

With August here and all the rain we have received the Mosquito populations are now out of control. Standing water, wet lawns and vegetation all present problems for people. The Mosquitoes are equal opportunists trailing the carbon dioxide you exhale. They do not care if your rich or poor but only that you have blood. Mosquitoes are known carriers of numerous diseases. Every year you hear of people getting sick and some dying from the pathogens these pests can carry.

The best mosquito control is a dry yard with little vegetation but this is not what people typically want. We want trees and gardens and landscaped yards with water features and swimming pools. The problem is that having all these things means you will have more pests. Spiders, Ants, Mosquitoes thrive in a well watered and landscaped yard. A pest control program is almost always needed just to reduce the Ants and Spiders in the area.

EnviroTech Exterminating offers a completely Green Mosquito treatment designed to reduce the number of Mosquitoes in your yard. This treatment is a fogging treatment that is designed to get where the Mosquitoes breed and lay eggs. Although complete eradication is not possible due to the flying nature of these pests, they can be reduced and allow you to go back out to spend time with your family in the back yard.

Our service areas are the Tulsa metro area including Broken Arrow, Jenks, Bixby and the surrounding 25 mile from Tulsa metro. Call today to get started on a Mosquito Control Program. For more information visit Mosquito Control in Broken Arrow to get tips and advice to help reduce Mosquitoes.

Mole and Gopher Control in Broken Arrow

Mole and Gopher Control

Moles and Gophers are a real problem here in Broken Arrow and the surrounding Tulsa metro area. If you water your yard, keep it in nice shape then chances are you have numerous insects, worms and plant life that attracts Moles and Gophers.

Moles and Gophers both do damage to yards. Even though the damage a Mole can do is somewhat horrible looking it can be great for aeration. Gophers on the other hand can do severe damage to your yard and don't really have a good reason for being present.

A little about Moles and Gophers

1)  Moles leave a volcano-shaped mound with an exit hole in the center.
2) Gopher mounds are shaped like crescents or fans, with the exit hole to the side of the mound.
3) Moles burrow just below the surface, so tunnels are often visible.
4) Gophers dig down as much as 6 ft. for nesting and food storage.
5) Gophers eat underground parts of garden plants.
6) Moles eat grubs, soil-dwelling insects and earthworms but damage plant roots with their extensive tunneling.

Termite Activity High In Tulsa

It seems with this years up and down spring that more and more people are seeing Termite Swarms this season. Last year the weather was not nearly as up and down as this year. We are seeing warm weather than cold weather creating multiple or numerous Termite Swarms.

When the swarms only happen in your home once it may go unnoticed but it's hard to miss when it's happening on a regular basis.

Termites swarm when all conditions are just right. So, if we get three days of cold weather than all of a sudden 3 days of humid, warm weather conditions are optimum for Termites to swarm. Then if we get another 3-4 day burst of cold air the pattern can start all over again making it much more likely that the swarm will actually be seen by the homeowner.

Tulsa has been experiencing this crazy up and down weather and the results of this is more and more Termite swarms. Don't let termites ruin your biggest investment. If you see a swarm then you need a Termite Treatment. Controlling Termites is necessary and this is one thing that will not go away without treatment. We can help with that. If you live in Broken Arrow, Tulsa, Jenks, Bixby and the metro Tulsa area then you are in EnviroTech Exterminating's Service Area. Call (918) 282-7621 to schedule an appointment.

EnviroTech offers Termidor and Advance Baiting Systems to it's customers. Why a need for both options? The baiting systems may be necessary in situations where providing a perimeter termite treatment are not an option.

Termite Treatment Questions and Answers:

1) What would be a situation where a bait system may be necessary? Termite baiting allows termite control in situations where the structure is untreatable with soil termiticides, there is concern about pesticide use and/or in structures where soil treatments have failed.

2) Why would a soil treatment fail? In situations where the soil is filled with large amounts of rocky structure the product used to treat for Termites may not properly be able to bind to the soil or media.

3) Which is Better, Liquid or Bait? The answer here is depends on the situation, media, soil type. In most situations a liquid treatment provides quicker control of Termites. In some situations liquid treatment may not be an option. There is no absolute here and what's best for your property may not be the best for another. One thing to keep in mind is that where active termites are found most termite companies will want to do a liquid treatment or spot treatment of that area if you choose a bait system.

4) How does a Bait System work? Termite baiting works by killing off the workers in the termite colony as they forage for food. When the worker termites have been eliminated, the colony is starved of food and goes into "decline". The reproductives, queens and soldiers die of starvation because they cannot feed themselves. When the queens and reproductives cannot eat because there are no workers to feed them, they die and the termite colony starves and "crashes".

5) Which is more expensive, liquid or bait treatment? Liquid treatment is typically less expensive due to the higher cost of the baiting stations and active ingredient cost of the bait stations. Also keep in mind that bait stations must be monitored which requires regular inspection and costs more yearly to maintain. Liquid is done and usually only has a small yearly renewal fee for the warranty and Transfer of the warranty to any potential buyer if you sell the home.

6) What does a termite treatment typically cost? The liquid treatments are done on a linear foot basis. They start at $699 and can go up from there based on the linear footprint of the home. Bait stations are figured also on a footprint of the home and vary based on how many units are needed. They start at $999.

Termite Control, Termite Treatment in Broken Arrow, OK

Termite Control, Termite Treatment in Broken Arrow, OK

Termite Treatment Broken Arrow
With spring just a few days away pests will become far more active. Bugs like ants, fleas, mosquitoes, spiders and stinging insects invade homes through the entire Tulsa metro area. These pests are fairly easy to deal with and don't require special treatment. Other pests though such as Subterranean Termites require special attention. Termites forage for food and the food they get comes in the form of wood. If found infesting a home the Termite will require special treatment in the form of a Termite Treatment. Unfortunately Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and the surrounding metro areas of Bixby, Jenks and Tulsa are situated in a High Termite Activity area.

The control of Termites requires special products or products specifically aimed and the Termite. At EnviroTech Exterminating we believe Termidor is the product best designed and suited to deal with a active Termite Infestation. Other products are available but our experience and knowledge of Termites and the products available for treatment of these pests makes the choice clear. Having a quality service and quality product for your biggest investment, the home only makes since. You wouldn't go to a discount surgeon to have a risky operation performed would you? You like most others would want a proven surgeon that has a good reputation. Think of a Termite Treatment in the same way. We are performing a vital service for the health of your home.

Termites can go for years without being detected. This is why a Termite Inspection is advised. These Inspections may not reveal a Termite Infestation just started but can be helpful in finding the damage before it becomes severe. The size of a Termite Colony starts off small and only reaches the thousands of Termites mark after years of infestation. Once Termites start to swarm it is usually to the stage of 10's of Thousands on upwards of a few hundred thousand. Termites are responsible for Billions of dollars in structure damages every year.

EnviroTech Exterminating offers Quality Termite Control with Quality Termite Treatment Products. Termite Control in Broken Arrow, OK

Termite Control in Broken Arrow, OK

Termite season has started in the region. Broken Arrow is in a high termite infestation area of the country. Did you know that termites alone are responsible for more than 5 Billion dollars per year in damages. Although termites are beneficial for the forest health they are not a pest you want living in your structure.

Tulsa, Oklahoma sits in what's known as Green Country. The metro area consisting of Jenks, Bixby, Owasso, Broken Arrow, Coweta all have huge populations of Termites. It is said by a major university that with every acre of land up to 23 colonies of Termites can be found. It almost seems like its not a matter of if termites will infest your home but when they will do so. In order to beat the termite at it's own game you must understand this pest. Traditional pest control services do not work against termite colonies. Termites live in the ground rather than above like so many other pests. This reason alone is why termites should be dealt with by a professional exterminator that knows how to properly deal with these pests.

At EnviroTech Exterminating termites are high on our priority list of pests. Unlike other insect pests that infest homes the termite eats your home from the Bones, or Framing to the Heart, Foundation. Termite activity begins slowly with the first year usually showing no issues from the pest. The colony slowly builds up to reach 100,000's of thousands of termites in a few years time. This reason alone is why you need regular home check ups. With EnviroTech Exterminating our termite control program consists of yearly renewable termite contracts that with your treatment can protect you and your family from termites for years to come.

EnviroTech proudly uses Termidor by BASF for the ultimate in termite control. In sensitive situations where a bait system may be needed we recommend Advance Bait Systems from BASF.

If you find that termites are bugging you then you might give us a call at (918) 282-7621 today before termites get the best of you. Visit us for more information on Termite Control or call for a FREE Termite Control Estimate Today.
